The 2025 Wild Spotter Invasive Species Ambassador Training united 58 passionate individuals at Lake Guntersville State Park, Alabama, where stunning views and energizing sessions laid the foundation for lasting impact. Over three dynamic days, Ambassadors gained hands-on skills, strategies, and tools to lead grassroots efforts in invasive species management. With expert insights and a strong sense of community, the 2025 Training blended fun and purpose to create an unforgettable experience. Graduates left informed and inspired—ready to protect wild places and lead the charge toward an Invasives Free USA.
In December 2023, fifty-nine participants from five countries came together in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for the inaugural Wild Spotter Invasive Species Ambassador Training, marking the launch of a bold, community-driven approach to invasive species management. The training was hosted by the University of Georgia, Invasive Plant Control, Inc., and the USDA Forest Service, and emphasized grassroots action over bureaucracy. It empowered attendees with tools for real-world impact. As the first certified class of Invasive Species Ambassadors, graduates left equipped to build local momentum, foster partnerships, and lead change in their communities. This landmark event was a significant step forward in the nationwide Invasives Free USA campaign.
