The 2025 Wild Spotter Invasive Species Ambassador Training brought together passion, purpose, and people for an unforgettable experience at Lake Guntersville State Park in northern Alabama. With unseasonably perfect weather and views that inspired awe, 58 new Ambassadors joined the team to protect our nation’s wild places.
Over three energizing days, participants dove into a packed lineup of expert-led sessions covering the skills, tools, and strategies needed to design, coordinate, implement, facilitate, promote, and lead successful invasive species management programs. From the use of Wild Spotter as a detection campaign in the drive to establish “Invasives Free” spaces, the Class of 2025 got a holistic look at what it takes to make a real impact.
Speakers and teams took the stage to the beat of their walk-up songs, setting a tone of fun and connection that carried through the event. Beyond the knowledge-sharing, ISAT 2025 created meaningful opportunities to build relationships—with fellow conservationists, with mentors, and with the mission itself.
Invasive species management is about more than just the problem—it’s about the people who solve it. ISAT 2025 emphasized the power of community.
And the journey doesn’t stop at graduation. With quarterly follow-up webinars, continuing education, and access to all event materials, Ambassadors are equipped and supported long after the event ends.
